How does it work?

The Lomokino uses ubiquitous 35mm film, and is powered by hand crank. Simply load the film in and turn the crank. The film exposes as it advances.

What kind of film does it use?

Any 35mm film will work: black & white, color negative (C-41), or color positive slide film (E-6). For outdoor shooting, we recommend using either 100 or 400 ISO. For indoors, higher speeds such as 800 or 1000 ISO will do the job.

How much movie magic do I get per roll?

Lomokino captures 144 frames on a 36 exposure roll. That translates to about 36-48 seconds of movie.

How does the Film Viewer work?

Just load in your film, hold it up to the light, and turn the crank (sorta like a Viewmaster). If you want to see your images in all of their lo-fi glory, use color positive film. With negative film, you're just looking at, well, negatives.

How do I process the film?

Take your film to your local photo lab. Make sure to tell the lab not to cut your negatives. You'll need the long, uncut strip for the Film Viewer.

How do I get my movies on my computer?

After processing your film, you can have your film scanned by the photo lab and put on to a CD or scan it at home!
