I never knew that!  I've always thought bougainvillea were beautiful - I just didn't know I wasn't looking at the flowers.  I was looking at their bracts.  Thanks again, Deg!

Oh - I especially like the middle photo with the pattern of the fence behind the bougainvillea.

shoeless -- I missed those ones of yours on the previous page -- all really fantastic

I wasn't sure whether to post this in Autumn or here, and decided to post here as I suppose these would look this way in Winter too. These are milkweed pods:
http://www.photojojo.com/forum/img/posted/resized_img4af5bbb48c20d.jpg?url=http://lh3.ggpht.com/_p0HvzbXBfFc/SvW68KElQCI/AAAAAAAAYj4/D5OE89Bri98/s800/091104_0020.jpg

I took these next to a wall in the village, but we have them all over our property. I refuse to let milkweed get mowed, as it is essential to monarch butterfly migration.  It is the only thing monarch larvae will eat. We have had a bad monarch year this year -- I wonder what happened?

Yes, that's my flickr, but most of my photos are on Picasa: http://picasaweb.google.com/superdewa

I've always loved milkweeds! Reminds me of when I was a kid and we'd trek down in the woods behind our house pop these open and watch the seeds float away in the breeze. wink Great photo Superdewa

Thanks, Marleymax!

Nana -- I love how you've caught the colors of the sunset without actually catching the sunset. It gives proof to the concept of the "golden hour" for photography.

Thanks -- I had my camera in sunset mode because we were on the way to meet it -- only had time for a quick shot -- almost wish now we'd lingered a little longer!

diz, you have to have your photo uploaded somewhere on the internet already, somewhere like Picasa, Photobucket, Flickr, Smugmug, etc. If you have your photo up somewhere already, please tell us where, so we can help you post it here. Also, you can edit your posts instead of creating new ones.
