Thank you Degilbo, he and his mate are 2nd generation backyard buddies, aka peanut panhandlers. Spring is always fun as their young begin to fledge and try to figure out what to do with those peanuts.

Well I had to catch it to let it out because it kept crashing into things, and when I finally did, it wouldn't fly off. It just sat there on my hand. I guess it was in shock.

It probably had a concussion which is common when they fly into windows and such. They are usually ok after a short period of time. When I was doing wildlife rescue in Texas we once had a huge sudden hailstorm that knocked over 300 birds out of the sky that my group rescued. Almost all quickly recovered from concussions.
Sure makes for a great shot, rodia!

I finally have some birds! We stayed overnight in Waterbury, Vermont, last week en route to Montreal. While these are birds we have where I live, too, I don't have the fantasitc balcony overlooking the trees that the Inn we stayed in had. It made it so easy to take bird photos.

WOW, I have been missing out on the bird pictures! These are so awesome! I have a hard time getting pictures of wild birds. You guys must have amazing patience or a super zoom lens (or both!). I think my birds are as used to the camera as my daughter is!

Got these Canadian geese at Trojan Park, OR yesterday on mmy way home from Longview, WA. Two shots sewn together, some filling in and clone stamping. There still may be some lines where I expanded the photos. Click on image for large size.

"Oh, my! That feels good!" this Pee Wee seems to be saying. It had just taken a bath before this and when I was preparing to capture an image, it went into "snitching" with this amazing expression on its face:
Note the look in the eye!

Tufteach, I can just imagine how noisy that flock would be when disturbed :-). Creative work on your part to expand the view.
