If that Jacobite is a photo worth apologizing over, I'm feeling really bad about my photos now!
That pub is old!!! Speaking of old, here is the
Old Statehouse in Boston:

which I love to see juxtaposed with this photo of the same place:

^^^^^^ I love Boston for that blend of old and new that is so hard to find anywhere else in the States.

Superdewa, there is an interesting optical illusion which your "Lanterns" picture creates (well, for me, anyway). I noticed when I scrolled down with my mouse wheel, the lanterns seem to "jump" in sequence, while the lights on the left change position. Is it just my screen and these tired eyes or has anyone else noticed this optical illusion? :-)

S is for stilts
These humourous and memorable life-size fibre-glass models of human beings in various pursuits were created by artist John Underwood, and formed a familiar part of nearly every nook and cranny of the Expo 88 site. Taken with Agfamatic 4000 on Kodacolor 110 size film.

Thanks, Delgibo -- no, my green thumb is for flowers only. They are Campari's from Canada that I get at Costco. I feel terribly guilty sometimes for buying them, but they are so juicy and delicious!

I can't take credit for that Degilbo -- I just used the optical illusion setting on the D40.

Superd - excellent use of that setting. Is that an optional optical setting? lol

B - Big Brother

This is a Meter Maid vehicle that the city of Santa Barbara paid over $60K to have converted to a mobile camera car. This thing has 8 cameras, computers and a real-time satellite uplink. It will read your license plate and car model and instantly check DMV and Police databases. They don't even have to chalk tires any longer, it's all done by computer.
