Who are your favorite photographers?

Everyone has their own distinct style and likes/dislikes. So, who are you favorite photographers?

And you can list any from photojournalists to fashion photographers... smile

Awwww smile Thanks.

Red, you "showed" me how to do the cool reverse thingy with my lens for macro! And you're so patient and explain things a million times for me if that's what I need.

And everyone here always helps me when I'm feeling like I just don't get it!

I love this website, I tell everyone I know who has ever even held a camera in their hands about it.

Thanks, Tufteach for including me in that list.  Whenever I'm off the PC for a while, I have to read every post in Photojojo because I don't want to miss any of the great photos and helpful information.

People are beginning to get sick of me talking about photography when I start a sentence with, "Well, one of my photography friends on Photojojo suggested......"

By the way, don h, Robert Frank participated in a lecture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art last night, but I missed it.  They are running some of his films this month in conjunction with the exhibit of "The Americans" and I plan see the exhibit and one of his films.

Belle, "The Americans" is one of my favorite books. Years ago I found a first edition in a used book store in Maine.

I was fortunate enough to make it to San Francisco and see the Frank exhibit back in August. It was, without a doubt, one of the best curated shows I've ever seen. I think you'll enjoy it.

Tufteach, you're such a sweetheart. {{{Hugs}}} and many thanks for including me on that list.

One of my favorite photographers is William Eggleston. I highly recommend you check out his work. And if you can, there's a documentary about him that's fascinating and worth watching.

I'm just going to take ONE photo. It'll only take a minute. Promise.

I love William Eggleston. I went to an exhibit of his at the Whitney the last time I was in NYC. I'll look for that  documentary.

oh great mentions don hodgdo, I really like Cartier Bresson and Avedon.

Everyone great picks.

I also like fashion photography and portraiture so Mario Testino and Steven Meisel are two personal fave faves.
