Best Phones for the Camera?
I find it too bulky to carry around a DSLR, and I hate carrying anything more than necessary, so I'd be really happy with my phone being able to take decent pictures (something along the lines of a compact digital).
Any suggestions?
Will the iPhone's 2MP camera do the trick?

I think it depends on what your final output is. Just online, prints, what size prints?
A 2MP will not even give you a photo quality (300dpi) 4X6 print.

Probably just online for now (I'll try and use a DSLR when appropriate still).
I've got a (now ancient) Canon Powershot A60 that's 2MP which I've gotten some great 4x6 prints out of.
Any camera phones have zoom features or anything like that?

Most of the new phones have zoom, and the quality of the photos isn't that bad. Depending on the light, that is. The iPhone is probably pretty over-rated, I wouldn't get it.

I'm really interested to see how many people actually DO get the iPhone. It won't be me, that's for sure, but I want to see if all the hype and demos were worth it.

It'll be like the whole iPod hype. I mean, the first iPods were crappy, and that didn't stop anyone. Apple seems to be a fashion statement now, you get something from Apple, you're "in". So I'm sure loads of people will get the iPhone, just to actually have it.

Another cheaper-than-the-N95 option is the Sony Ericsson K790. It has a 3MP camera that I've been extremely impressed with under most circumstances (In low light its only ok). Plus, it has an awesome interface which I like a lot better than Nokia phones. At half the price of the N95, it's worth a look.
It can be used on Cingular or T-Mobile, even though neither company sells the phone directly.
Also, SE has announced a 5MP model that will likely replace the K790, but it is not out yet.
