Birds
I have tried taking a few shots of birds and now understand why people get hooked on them ....
Some land and then they are gone ...
Blue Tit

Others as soon as they hear the slightest sound are gone ....
Woodpecker

Thrush

And most are that far away to get a decent focus it is impossible ......

So I would like to see some examples better than mine please .....

Robins I like ... they stick around ... and hop on everything ....
Except when they take flight ....

Then those by the Sea ....

WOW ..... great shots ...... Mintas fotos .... love the shot but also the metalwork they are perched on great photo ... Lady wings .... the Woodpecker almost blends in with the tree how did you spot it and manage to get so good a focus on it ..... over here you are usually a good 20yds away .... any closer and they are gone they are constantly on the lookout .... Jenfoi - these are superb .... I have a fruit tree ,,,, but my birds are lazy they just sit on the branches and eat the fruit .... the one in flight is excellent .... the bottom one is really good too .... thankyou .... for showing these .....

OOooh, I can't resist this post! This is the wild turkey that raids my mom's bird-feeder. I was about 5 feet away, inside the house, when I took this. It just kills me that she has turkeys outside her window.

Kelly that is the first time I have ever seen a wild turkey ... good shot .... I like the birdfeeder too ... I am thinking of making one .... I like the ones that hang down with netting - with nuts and things in them .... the birds hang and fly around them and sometimes off the sides .... ,, Gerry Thrash ... Love the wild parrots - amazing that they are in a city .... The seagull is really close and great detail ... Love the crane ... I love reflections and this one is perfect .... Tufteach that is well hidden - how did you manage to spot it .... would love to see some shots of the big birds in flight ....

Love them all but .... That last shot is worth a million .... I love it .... coming head on too ... A wonderful shot....... superb .... good to see you have put the copyright on too ... I found put the copyright on another layer .... and you can adjust the transparency so that it does not steal your focus to the copyright too much .... just an idea ,,,,

Wow .... Rolls Up they are superb ... these belong in national geographic or something like that ....... brilliant shots .... I have no idea what most of these are ....... No4 a puffin .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puffin No7 a snow owl maybe ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowy_Owl Really good photos though and I am showing my ignorance of the bird life here ,,,,
One more Blue Tit in my willow tree ...

I am learning that the autofocus on this camera is a little off ..... and no way to turn to manual ..... means moving backwards and forwards to get focus ..... next camera ,,,, please ,,,,, ....
