Favorite sunny day photo projects?
It's gonna be a beautiful weekend, and I'm trying to come up with cool project ideas to get me motivated to go out and shoot.
What's gotten you excited to go out and shoot recently?

I know this isn't a new idea, but it's one that got me psyched about getting out and taking some more photos. Head out and take pictures of things starting with each letter of the alphabet. Again, not something new but I'm going to try to avoid the obvious choices - no apple picture for the letter A. I figure it'll give me a good chance to really explore the neighborhood and look closer at the surroundings. Who knows I might find a few new areas to shoot.
I've also though about shooting the letters of the alphabet on signs around town. Again it should provide me with a good chance to get out and explore.

I love taking pictures of flowers on sunny days. The natural light complements the flora so well, and the pictures come out absolutely breathtaking.

Make a list of 20 things/concepts/feelings and go shoot them. Here are your first three items: (1) Love, (2) fake, and (3) famous.

I really like some of the ideas in here: I had never heard of the alphabet one, Ankou! It's really beneficial to have photo challenges sometimes, as opposed to just looking for obviously "good" shots. I agree with you on being able to see your surroundings better, noticing different things, nuances, etc.
Spamouflage, this is a great idea as well! I imagine you could really learn about a group of people, even on here, if you had a more abstract set of words like that to guide the photos one takes.

Taking a prop out and photographing it in natural settings is one of my favorite things to do. And by "prop" I mean a toy - I have a box full. It's fun and I'm usually laughing so hard I don't notice people looking at me funny ;P

Gumby!!!!
One time I stumbled upon a character from one of my favorite children's stories: Sylvester and the Magic Pebble. I love how kids leave their toys or put them somewhere purposely outside...it made me so happy!

Not directly I hope!
My 400D is in for it's second repair, that means no photographic expeditions for me for about 6 weeks. :-(((

What's this sun thing you're all on about? oh, yeah, I dimly remember - that yellow thing that used to be in the sky. Joking aside, I am a fan of infrared images. This one is on Kodak colour infrared slide film:

And this was the result of putting a 2.4mm wideangle CCTV lens on an old webcam:
It turned out that the IR blocking filter was part of the original lens, so adding an IR-compatible wideangle produced that rather nice result.
My favourite sunny day images are usually taken late in the day. This is the only one I have at work:
