Our cat, Meeko, getting into the holiday spirit.

Don't let her face fool you - she likes the collar.

It took me a while to open up this thread because our cat recently died. I'm glad I did take a look though, because there are some great faces here. Thanks everyone.
Rosie, I really like your image of the paw under the door. It captures "catness" beautifully. Robert Capa famously said "If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough". After looking at your photo stream, I can see that you have figured that out. Very nice.

I don't have any cats, but here are a couple of photos I've taken which I find interesting. Both of these were taken in Greece in the summer of 2008.

I'm sorry for your loss, I grow way to attached to my cats as do a lot of people.
This is one of our two furballs, Lucky. He was dumped at a waste site in NW Mt, avoided the dogs and bears, climbed a forested hill for 1/4 mile, and announced his presence with the most God Awful rawl we'd ever heard.
After we recovered from the noise, we saw him. A huge mouth with a little fluff behind it, not even a handful.
He was therapeutic for me at a time when I needed it and spent a lot of time with me in a recliner with the vibrator on high. He loves vibrators still and will come running when he hears it humming.
He's a luv, for a cat he's very appreciative and gives big hugs on a regular basis. At the moment he's tired of winter... already. He's an inside/outside cat and a super mouser that has a steady job here.

Rob- I'm so sorry for your loss. " No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch. - Leo Dworken"
This is my sister's cat, Mush.

This is my cat, Maybe, soon after I got her. She spent most of the first two weeks I had her laying on her back in her bucket bed.

Cats love a nice box. This is Harley. That must be one of the top 3 names for cats. She is a tease when she wants to play.

And here are the other 3. We did not mean to be cat nuts. We were going to get one from a neighbor, but the kids brought home two, so we could choose. Right. So we had two. Then we were out at a park one October, and there were two white kittens near the parking lot. We rescued them. The shelters all had messages that said, "Our hours are 9 to 5 weekdays, and if you have kittens we don't have room." Now they all get along great, unless someone wants to play a little too rough. They were all fixed at an early age.
