[…] Potojojo is a photo newsletter that covers gear, tips, and projects that help you use your photos to their best advantage. I especially love this project, which shows you how to print a photo onto four linoleum blocks. The site has a materials list and a brief video that walks you through the surprisingly simple process. […] Photojojo is a great page that has incredible ideas what to do with pictures. For example, they show you how to do Photo Blocks or DIY Jewel Case Frames. But the best is definetely The Rasterbator. Yeah, sounds like gadgets for women but it makes it possible to have your own Gursky. It simply splits a picture to several files which makes it possible to print them and them hang them on the wall. Sounds awesome to me. […]

[…] One of our most recent Photojojo tutorials shows you how to mount your photos onto 2″x3″ linoleum blocks. Some of our readers wrote to say that the store we linked to allow people to buy the blocks is sold out! Apparently, enough people decided to make it this project that MisterArt.com just couldn’t keep up with demand! :) […]

[…] Trying to find a fun do-it-yourself project for the holiday weekend? Look no further — I found a great homemade blocks project on Photojoto that promises a “stunning gift from your own photos in 15 minutes or less.” All you need to do is scrounge up some photos of your family members (or pets, or whatever!) to start making your own set of blocks for your child! I can manage that. And another great thing about this project is that you only really need are the following items: a 4×6 photo, ruler, scissors, rubber cement and four 2″x3″ linoleum blocks. Then just head over to Photodoto to watch their video tutorial. […]

[…] Everyone likes to take pictures of something, but what do you do with your pictures after you’ve taken them? Get prints made, put them on Flickr, put them in photo albums, but that’s about it. Photojojo shows you how to do so much more with your photos. It’s a twice-a-week newsletter that you can get delivered either via RSS or email, and it shows you how to do all sorts of nifty things, like making postcards from your pictures, constructing your own wide-angle lens and more! They also review new equipment you can buy to help out with your photography sessions. A couple of my favorite posts so far: Photo blocks, how to cut a mat, and the Lensbaby, which would be a FreshArrival post all on its own if Photojojo hadn’t gotten to it first! […]
